Audition Process
The Washington Douglass Chorale (WDC) will hold auditions in June, July and September of 2023 for its opening 2023-2024 season, with positions available for 60 volunteer singers and 20 paid positions. Singers of all races, ethnicities and other identities are encouraged to audition.
Audition Requirements
Auditions will last approximately 15 minutes in length to include a short interview and singing session with a vocal solo. At the scheduled audition time, each applicant should come prepared with two (2) songs contrasting in style, sung a cappella or accompanied, with a written score or memorized.
Volunteer singers, singing session and vocal exercises (only light sight reading will be tested).
Paid singers, sight reading and professional experience required.
